Full-Time Tax Advisor

Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual tax returns in accordance with firm’s best practices and procedures which includes interview process, data entry into tax software, examination of all tax forms for accuracy and completeness, and packaging return for clients.
• Provide consulting and tax planning services
• Review and prepare financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.
• Communicates directly with clients on tax related questions and issues. Responses to clients are appropriate and within a timely manner.
• Perform tax research where appropriate
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

• EA or CPA preferred, not required
• At least 3 years’ previous experience in personal tax return preparation
• Prior experience with client tax interviews
• Prior experience with UltraTax CS (preferred but not required)
• Knowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in personal tax return preparation
• Strong critical thinking skills for effective decision-making
• Solid written and oral communication skills
• Excellent client service skills with an ability to handle pressure in a positive, professional manner.
• Ability to work with a team.
